Team Champions are a group of Year 6 pupils, who have been elected by children in school. There are eight Team Champions and they represent the four school teams. They represent the school, deliver assemblies, help with school events and run the House Point Hub.

We have four teams: Courage, Determination, Endeavour, and Honour. These teams represent the four core values that we want to grow and develop in our whole school community. Every half-term, we have team assemblies. In these assemblies, we discuss the meaning of our team, and the type of character traits we would expect to see. We also discuss significant individuals who have demonstrated these traits, e.g. How did Rosa Parks show courage?

Fundraising for Charity

On Friday 27th September, our Team Champions helped to run the Macmillan Coffee Morning. Our school community helped us to raise a fantastic £643!

Remembrance Sunday 2024

On Sunday 10th November, our Team Champions laid a wreath at the Worksop cenotaph in honour of all armed forces members. They joined in with the remembrance service and the parade that marched through Worksop town centre. They were a credit to the school and should be very proud!

Community Links

Throughout the month of December, the Team Champions helped to spread some festive cheer within the local community. Residents from Jubilee Care Home joined our Team Champions for a Christmas lunch, a game of bingo and a festive sing-a-long on Wednesday 11th December. In the final week of the Autumn Term, the Team Champions joined our school choir for a performance of Christmas carols at the care home. A wonderful time was had by all!

Autumn Term 2 Team Assembly

All children came together in their teams to discuss our core values:

  • What is courage? How can we show courage?
  • What is determination? How can we show determination?
  • What does it mean to endeavour? How can we show this value?
  • What is honour? How can we show this value?
