At Norbridge Academy, we aim for all children from Foundation Stage 1 to Year 6 to participate in a range of projects linked to the following areas:

We aim for children to be innovative learners. In Foundation Stage 1, this begins with children exploring imaginatively and understanding why resources and techniques are chosen. By the time children have reached Year 6, they will be able to create detailed design ideas and use research to develop design criteria. Our cross-curricular approach to teaching design and technology enables us to make direct links to our focus texts, as well as children’s learning in English and the foundation subjects.
